Most academics agree that the Garden of Eden was the original “Temple of God,” The eschatological implications of this, in light of the NT teaching about the Temple are absolutely incredible. In fact, the Temple promises are nothing less than the promises of the resurrection!
The Garden was the Temple of God. Man, kicked out of the Temple, died. But God promised to restore the Temple– to restore life! Thus, Temple and Resurrection go hand in hand!
