Just recently I was sent an email from a gentleman named “Dan.” In our correspondence, he was very congenial and honorable. Mr. Dan, sent me a flow chart in which he predicts the imminent unfolding of he end time events. For instance, he names the Man of Sin that is alive today. He lays out a timeline for the restoration of the temple cultus in Jerusalem– 2013– and the initiation of the millennial kingdom at the second coming December 22, 2019.
I naturally disagree with Dan. I am offering here our correspondence over the last few days.

I have provided an attachment here to a prophetic timeline spreadsheet for your consideration and use.
It is the distillation of prophetic studies that I have done since I became believer in 1993.
Please study it carefully. Every assertion is backed by scripture and logically supported.
Be warned. It will not fit your current understanding of how the last days of the Church Age will play out.
Please do not dismiss it lightly. It is given to you as a gift.
I responded to Dan’s flow chart:
<Dan, thanks for thinking of me, and for sending, but, your calculations and predictions are wrong. They ignore or deny that the end was near in the first century, and was coming in a “very, very little while…with no delay” (Hebrews 10:37).
2019 will come and go—with no coming of the Lord in sight because it has already happened—2000 years ago.
Since you sent me your charts, I would ask that you please read my book Can God Tell Time? And consider it carefully.

Dan Responded– and I then responded back:
Dan, you did not offend me by offering your thoughts. However, as I noted, your premises overlook what the Bible says about the imminence of the kingdom / parousia and the end of the age in the first century.
I have printed off your work, and have it on my desk, including what you offer below.
See my further thoughts below, in the appropriate places.

Thank you for your gracious response. I ask one thing of you, and then I will not contact you again unless you request it.
Please read what I have written here at least once. Then do with the information as you wish. I know it conflicts with the Preterist view. I am sorry for offending you. My desire is to warn you so that you can make reasoned choices and preparations before the coming of The Great Tribulation.
Response: I assure you that I have printed it out, and read it.
The four events listed below will take place in the following order and conclude by sunset in Jerusalem on September 4, 2013.
1) Israel will destroy the Bushehr nuclear facility in Iran (ancient Elam), probably within the next few months, possibly before summer. Ref. Jeremiah 49:34-39.
Response: While it is certainly possible that Israel will strike Iran (who could actually blame them) it has nothing to do with Jeremiah 49—or with prophecy. It would be a simple matter of self defense and survival. Such a prediction overlooks the distinctively contemporary nature of that prophecy.
We are not in the last days—the last days were in existence in the first century—1 Peter 1:20; Hebrews 1:1.
The very name Elam is a very, very vague term historically, and it would seem—to me at least—to be tenuous to suggest a firm identification with modern Iran.
Iran of today, is not the Elam of Jeremiah 49. That is an anachronistic application of Jeremiah.
2) The nations that surround Israel will attack Israel with rockets. Israel will defend itself. Israel will use a limited version of its Samson option to defend itself. It will use both conventional and nuclear weapons. Israel will win this war decisively. It will be measured in days, perhaps even hours. Ref. Psalm 83; Isaiah 17; Isaiah 11:14; Zephaniah 2:3-10; Zechariah 10:10; Obadiah 19-20.
Let me take note of some of the verses you have offered for proof:
Psalms 83—As with the identification of Elam, the nations mentioned in Psalms no longer exist. It is improper hermeneutics, I would affirm, to take the names of ancient kingdoms and peoples, and make them apply to peoples and nations that exist today, who are in fact, in no way the kingdoms mentioned in the text. Just because the “dirt” of the regions mentioned is the same dirt that existed in the times of those kingdoms and peoples, does not make them the same kingdoms and peoples that existed then.
Isaiah 17—This was fulfilled under Tiglath Pileser, the Assyrian king—2 Kings 16.
Isaiah 11:14- Notice that Isaiah posits all of this as “in that day” when He would save the remnant of Israel, by setting up the ensign, the banner v. 10. In Romans 15: 12 Paul says the prophecy was being fulfilled in his day, and in his ministry.
Zephaniah 2—This prophecy deals with the very nations that Jeremiah 46-50 said would be destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar. The prophecy likewise dealth with the impending judgment of Judah at htat time, since it was “near and hastening fast” 1:14-15). It is clearly wrong to deny that language and make it apply now, almost 3000 year later.
Zechariah 10 likewise refers to the time of Isaiah 11- the time of the salvation of the remnant, which Paul said was taking place in his days and in his ministry—Romans 11:7.
Obadiah likewise foretold the judgment of Edom and “all the nations.” The nations are those listed in Jeremiah 25 / Ezekiel 25, to be destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar. Malachi looks back on the destruction of Edom as a fulfilled reality.
3) The Israeli government will allow animal sacrifice to take place on the Temple Mount.
Response: There is no Temple there now, and will not be before September of 2013. In fact, it would be virtually impossible to even build a Jewish temple on that Mount, even if the Dome of the Rock and the Muslims were not there, before the time when you say the sacrifices will be abolished. The chronology simply does not work—not to mention that this is not foretold in scripture.
4) The animal sacrifice will be abolished on September 4, 2013. Ref. Daniel 9:27.
Response: Daniel’s prophecy of the seventy weeks has nothing to do with our modern times. It extended no further than the fall of Jerusalem in AD 70. See my book Seal Up Vision and Prophecy, as well as Seventy Weeks Are Determined…For the Resurrection, for demonstration of this.
Jesus applied Daniel’s prophecy to his generation, not to our’s—Matthew 24:15-34).
The man behind the scenes who will be instrumental in causing the abolition of the sacrifice is Javier Solana. He is the one who confirmed the seven year (January 1, 2007 to December 31, 2013) European Neighbourhood Policy Instrument (ENPI) covenant with many, including Israel. Ref. Daniel 9:27. He has been marked with 666 (Ref. Revelation 13:15-18) no less than three separate times in three different ways. He is the antichrist, but he will not be widely recognized as such until March 17, 2017, when he sets up the Abomination of Desolation. On that day, the Great Tribulation will begin. Ref. Daniel 12:11, Matthew 24:15-22
Response: With all due respect, this is a total misapplication of Daniel. Note that Daniel 12 would be fulfilled “When the power of the holy people has been completely shattered” (v. 7). Without controversy, that was in AD 70. No other time or event fits that description.
Israel’s one and only “power” was her covenant with YHVH, and that ended in AD 70.
As these things take place, just as I have laid them out, you will know that I have spoken the truth.
Response: With all kindness, when these things do not take place, you will know that your system is false.
I say this as kindly as possible: When September 13, 2013 has come and gone, with no temple sacrifices, no re-establishment of the temple and cultus, then you will know that your application is indeed wrong. I will be more than happy to discuss things with you then.
God bless—and I look forward to hearing from you September 14, 2013– or even before.
