I just posted another video, this time on the dating of Revelation.
Jesus’ prediction of his coming in Matthew 16:27-28 is the prediction to come in vindication and judgment of his suffering, which he spoke of in verse 21f. The context does not allow us to separate verse 27 from that discussion. The connective particle “for” proves this.
So, again, Christ’s coming in v. 27 is his coming in vindication of his suffering and that of his disciples.
In this video, I demonstrate that this subject has a direct bearing the dating of Revelation. The Apocalypse was written to predict the coming of Christ to avenge the blood of the martyrs, just as Matthew 16:27 predicted!
Be sure to read my book Who Is This Babylon? for a fuller discussion of this critical issue. It is a definitive demonstration that Revelation was written before the fall of Jerusalem. My book contains a wealth of information not found anywhere else. In fact, one scholar called the book “ground breaking”!
