Be sure to tune into www.ad70.net, this Tuesday night– September 14, 2010, at 6 PM central time, for Two Guys and A Bible! William Bell and Don K. Preston will continue their in-depth look at the fascinating and important investigation of the topic of Zion in prophecy.
On tomorrow night’s program, Bell and Preston will continue their examination of Isaiah 61. The focus of this discussion will be the promise that in the Acceptable Day of the Lord, the followers of Messiah would called “The planting of the Lord,” and Trees of the Lord. Many Bible students overlook the significance of this, and yet, it is directly related to how in the past, YHVH had planted Israel as His vine. They had not produced fruit, so they were to be cut off. Furthermore, the imagery of the vine / fruit / harvest is directly related to the last days.
Jesus’ statement in John 15 “I am the vine, you are the branches” likewise takes on tremendous significance when one considers the Old Testament background. Most ministers today, in their “sermonizing” completely miss the theological and eschatological significance of Jesus’ statement! This is great stuff, so you don’t want to miss it!
